I would suggest going a little slower... and cleaning up the reactions a bit. I like to let things sink in, and I would watch the entire video once through before grabbing pencil and paper and jotting things down, so I already had an idea of what was going on but it was time consuming.
After a D+, and two D's, on the first three exams, I pulled a C+ on the final. Organic chemistry can be a lot to take in at first, especially in Stony Brook where it is perhaps one of the most difficult courses in the schools curriculum.
